From the N.E.L.A. FFF™ New Designers' Fashion Show

This weekend, I was one of the photographers for the New Designers' Fashion Show, at the N.E.L.A. Fetish Fair. It was a very different experience for me, mostly because of the pace that we worked at. These photos are from very quick (<2 minute) shoots with each model, to get a record of each design before they went on the catwalk.
UPDATE Feb 10th, 2009 Oh god! Believe me when I say this was totally, completely unexpected! This image (practically a snapshot at the time) was chosen for my third Daily Deviation.

The subject of a piece doesn't need to be beautiful for the piece itself to be beautiful. Not to mention, not all art is about beauty.

This photograph wasn't of a beautiful subject, exactly-- but it shouldn't be expected to just be beautiful, as it isn't a glamour photograph.
I welcome constructive criticism. However, one-word negative comments have no place on DeviantArt. If you have something to say, say it constructively and politely.
I should also say... The fact that this photo is "ugly" is why I think it is beautiful. It's a real person, being very brave at a fashion show, in terms of expressing himself publicly. It's also a reminder that sex, fetishes, and attraction aren't the exclusive domain of "beautiful" people.

Critics are all over and they think what they want to think. Yet, it would have been a better thing to be more constructive with just "ugly" as the word, such as explaining why the picture is ugly. I agree with you on the constructive part.
He may not be conventional beautiful, but doesn't mean the person can't model for photographs and such. Doesn't have to be some shoot of Carmen Electra.
And also, I like this shot. I like the setting for it, even if it is more of a snapshot. It also shows good detail of the face.

I think I know why... First, most people who view "mature content" are looking for pretty girls. Second, most people who don't view "mature content" will never see it. That doesn't leave a very wide audience-- which I imagine is why it was featured, to give Fetish Guys some more exposure.

I love this shot it's so refreshing and makes a change from all the common fetish shots and naked girls I see on here from day to day.

Yeah, one thing working for me is probably that there are a lot of photography galleries that my images fit in. (And in the case of this one, not a lot of Male Fetish photos to choose from.)
