Rin and Yukio are Quasimodo

Yuri is Quasimodo's mother.

In this scene, Yuri Egin dies after giving birth Rin and Yukio. Shiro has the task of eliminating Satan's offspring with the sword Kurikara. But, when he was delivering the coup de grace, he sees baby Rin giggles and stops, with regret.

Mephisto: - I see the Yuri's innocent blood split on the ground.

Shiro: - It isn't her fault, it was been Satan to have comdemn her to death by childbirth.

Mephisto: - Now you would add this child's blood to your guilt, to make them met his dead mother?

Shiro: - My coscience is clear.

Mephisto: - You can lie to yourself and your bosses and highers.
You can claim that you haven't a qualm. But your God is watching you, and He doesn't want that you murder a baby that has the fault to be born alive!

And for one time in his live of obedience and missions...

Shiro felt a twinge of fear
For his immortal soul.

Shiro: - What must I do?

Mephisto (with Yuri's body in his arms): Care for the children, and raise them as your own.

Shiro: - What? I'de be settled with Satan's son? Very well... do you se the Kurikara. Give me it. I'll transfer the baby's demoniac powers into it.

So, Satan's son became a normal child in that day, because his powers were transfered in the Kurikara and hide away.
