Description
I did this piece for two reasons.1) I always wanted to do a mellow solo sketch piece of something.
2) I've been having trouble finding folk around me to take on the Warhammer 40k hobby with me. Even my g/f is no longer interested in chaos daemons at this point.
Yes... my necrons need friends too... XD

Maybe if they didn't just wordlessly walk up underneath people's feet and start killing them, then they could have friends. Until then they are pretty much as bad as the Tyranids.

Necrons are my first army. Just hope they don't butcher them in the redo like they have some of the other armies.
Have done my own convertion of necron lord. My tomblord is a little nastier in appearance than others I've seen

Sniff... Sigh... All he ever wanted to do was destroy The Old Ones. Now he's stuck in a metal coffin for the rest of eternity. Here's a question: I've been into the vid games and the books for a looping while, but I don't think of myself as the best of the artists currently in this room. Which has only me in it. (I do literature, not artwork) So I have been reluctant to start the whole tabletop expanse stuff. Which army should I start into, as a whole first time thing?

The base mechanics are often associated with Space Marines. Amongst various 40k tabletop gamers, we have a term called MEQ, which means "Marine EQuivalent", as we often make comparison to the standard Space Marines troop. Fortunately, Space Marines come in some varieties... The Black Templars, The Blood Angels, The Space Wolves, are several of their expanded variations. But you can easily field just the Space Marines, while detailing them colors of other sorts. Granted, this is just to stasrt into it--- later on, you may consider fielding something else.

yea, necrons do need friends, my friend are all like "oh no, necrons are soo cheaty, they is unfair, cos deir rules are dumbp", and every one i play iz like "... i hate you..." aster the first turnn T_T

its okay though, there'll be new specialized lords. like the rumored Wraith-body Lord.
anyways, the benefit of C'Tan being Forgeworld/Apocalypse is that they'll have better quality and we may be able to see the other 2 C'Tan in the near future.

lol. It's cute. I play as Necrons. My boyfriend got me into chaos space marines recently...But my favorite is still the loyal Necrons. Nice sketch. ^^
