Description

Completely recovered from the recent attack on a patrol, Rowena prepares to make a solo journey to the Menagerie to meditate and hold a personal reflection vigil, but she's confronted by some (annoyed) concerned packmates. Reiwen is adamant that this is one of the stupidest ideas she's ever heard. The Archqueen, traveling alone? When there was so much danger about? In what world, the material or Summerlands, was that a smart idea? Myrrine offers similar concern, albeit a bit more gently. But Rowena assures them both, and stands firm: this vigil, this meditation, is something she must do. And as much as she appreciates the offers, she is determined to do this one alone. She'd be back in the morning - if there was any danger, she would run straight back. The beasts have not been as far north as the Menagerie, and she's convinced of her safety.

What she won't say, however, is that she's troubled. Something that one of the beasts had said to her in garbled, broken words had struck a chord with her. With this, she is certain: only spirits can advise her.

And thus, Rowena's personal arc is about to begin! The first page of her comic will likely be posted later tonight. I wanted to do some artwork of Rowena taking off, but not before consulting with some packmates that she hasn't had a chance to interact directly with, yet! I snagged Myrrine and Reiwen, so special thanks to chosaguro and sshouryuu for letting me borrow your characters for an artpiece, and double-checking to make sure their parts in this were accurate!

The Mhorian patrol roleplay will come out in the coming weeks to provide even more context. But I wanted to maintain a level of vagueness so that roleplay and all the awesome Mhorians involved don't end up totally spoiled in the process.

I'm SO excited to start this journey. As soon as I conceived of Rowena as a character, I had this idea for an arc. And it just so happened that the Hive plot provides a fantastic backdrop to pull in. HERE WE GOOOO!
