It took forever to draw this, since it was my first time trying out Photoshop brushes. I decided to take part in sylessae 's art contest in commemoration of her awesome new Fantasy webcomic series "Chains" that just released. Check it out here: chains.sylessae.com/
I decided to try drawing her OC character "Azhret", a half-orc missing one tusk who wears simple clothing, a batter brigandine, and is never seen without his bastard sword by his side. I tried going for a sort of D&D look for him. I imagined him in a D&D/Medieval setting, so that's what I tried to recreate by studying clothing of the time. Out of her two characters, I was drawn to him the most, especially when it came to his scar; since I'm a huge D&D fan. I hope I did him justice.

Lady Ysma Thae is a woman who has been pushed past her breaking point. She’s left her family’s sprawling estate behind and taken to the muddy, treacherous road with one sniveling servant at her side. She is driven by a singular impulse, spurred ever onward in pursuit of one bloody goal.
