We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A great poem. Which reminds me that I still need to change my avatar back from the poppy.
As for the picture, my main criticisms are centred around the head. The body looks pretty good, though I think the picture would've looked better overall if you had given the character a less aggressive looking pose. The current pose, especially the wide back legs, don't really suit the theme of the picture. Also, for a picture with a sad and heavy topic like this, I think the colours are a bit too bright. The head is the main area you seemed to have had trouble with. The snout is too short and the eye is too far forward on the head, which makes the whole head look awkward. I like how the background turned out overall, though like I said, it's perhaps too brightly coloured for a picture about death and remembrance.

This looks quite pretty. I love everything about it, but I think that just the fact that it is meant for rememberance day is what has me smiling right now.
I had one of my exams right after rememberance day... It wasn't fun. >->

Yesterday in our school esembally there were some kids that had on suits of veterans and stuff. They were thick coats and the kids couldn't breathe too much because they had to be still because they were war people.
ANYWAYS, Robyn. one of the girls up there hit teh ground witha sickening thud all of a sudden. They said she blacked out but I think she had a seizure. Eveyone was like 'O M G' it was terrible! Especially since I was aquaintances with Robyn.
No one knows what exactly happened yet but she went out on a stretcher with the parametics.
Now Rememberance Day will always remind me of that.
