Okay I'm not gonna lie when I was first designing him i image searched it, saw a bunch of grills, and went like "ehhh well, no ones probably gonna notice so it's okay" and followed through LOL
honestly I chose the French word for coal to subtly connect him to another one of my OCs, Bordeaux Pearl (also french) because their backstories are connected.
i guess technically he could be called "coal black pearl" but that doesn't have enough pizzazz so Charbon it is lmao no grills intended-
