Description
Event 2: A Little Trouble
...So what do you think we should do?
The Café recently received a scalding review on Belp from a moderately high ranking Homeworld gem, accusing them of hiring a permafusion gem in the staff. It seems that despite the precautions taken to hide, Scapolite still had her suspicions. They're skating on thin ice...
Draw your gem responding to Gold's inquiry. Will you brush it off as an irritable customer or suggest a stricter enforcement of the code of conduct? Do you worry/get scared, or do you get fired up? Or are you indifferent on the matter?
Event information
This event applies to both staff member and management ranks.
Events may be drawn or written as a short story.
Events have no due dates, but must be completed in chronological order.
Submit to the “event entries” folder of the group once you’ve completed!
Things to to keep in mind:
Your gem's response should reflect their values! Do they firmly support fusion and believe the Cafe should continue allowing it, despite its threat to the Cafe? Or do they think it's too risky and should take action in order to not get in trouble with Homeworld officials, even if that means separating permafusion gems?
This opinion is the beginning of the plot for the group, so make sure you put thought into it! You can be on the fence and/or change your opinion in later quests if you wish, just like in real life debates.

well, fusion is basically gem sex. so i can get why that'd be a big deal.
however, homeworld gems can go F themselves.

Heavy disagree on that, they wouldn't have a child doing it if that was the case.

neither can two men, two wemon, an infertile man with a woman, a infertile woman with a man. just because people have sex doesn't mean they will make a child.

No dude, there is a child fusing. Steven. With an adult. Amethyst. It is N O T sex. The writers have explicitly stated that it is not sex.

oh, well i miss read what you said. which is my bad.
what they say, and how they portray it are two different things.
of course i agree that the fusion between amethyst, and steven, and steven and connie are not sexual. though the ladder is romantic.
there is still the fusions between pearl and rose, pearl and garnet, ruby and sapphire,
its defiantly a metaphor for relationships.
-with malachite you have an abusive relationship with lapis to jasper.
-opal doesn't really have much character, so i can't really tell you what that is.
-the context around sardonyx is about being sexually used or used in general by someone you trust.
-garnet is a half romantic, half sexual fusion. with lines from the answer making it sound sexual. then with how peridot feels about garnet's permafusion state. doing an action like bumping her fist together in similar fashion to how humans do with sex.
- and how the fusion between amethyst and garnet is very sexual. to the point even, that pearl had to cover steven's eyes.
look i'm not saying that fusions involving humans is sex. because humans have sex to "become one." but from a gems perspective when two gems fuse its basically sex.
but even if you disagree with me. you can't deny that there is some sexual elements in most of the fusions.
as for home world they kind of have a 1950's perspective on hetero-gem fusions that its wrong. similar to how in the 50's most people didn't like homosexual, or international couples. they though its wrong as well. which is not of course.

Sorry I still have to disagree. Romance does not equal sex. A fusion might be romantic, but not sexual. I don't see Sardonyx as being an allusion to being used in sex, but just used in general. I didn't see lines in the answer that were remotely sexual, unless you're referring to Garnet's "what is this??" Confusion. Well, if I suddenly existed I'd also be confused.
As for amethyst and garnet, I can understand that the dancing was somewhat suggestive, but I think it was the idea of Amethyst and Garner fusing that Pearl was trying to shield steven from. Shs did say after all how bad of an idea it was.
I do deny that there are sexual elements because I genuinely can't see it. I can see it ma ybe in the dancing for Sardonyx, but honestly I just think That's their dance style.
Agree to disagree I guess

I dont see how that's sexual? They hadnt fused before, because they didn't even KNOW gems of two different types could fuse.
I guess I'm just weird then lmao
