Description
Commission forHis charackter Yuriko who is the Japanese (or Red-crowned or Manchurian) Crane or just Grus japonensis. It's my most favourite kind of cranes, I guess.
I tried something new at BG. Usually I doesn't draw BGs without lineart. Btw it was my first time drawing sakura, so it looks not really great. But anyway I really tried to do my best.

i love your elements of he background. the mountain, the grass and tree........... very strong Asia-Pacific influence. I've seen the Sakura trees in Japan in the summer and ... well, i've seen them in Korea in the spring and i can say this has totally done them justice.
i love the idea of the pink shading, too. it's like you think of EVERYTHING.

Wow, thank you very much! For me such pleadant to read your words. I glad you think this drawing is good, 'cause I can see that I fail somewhere here xD As usual, I expect from myself much more. Now I understand that I'm really afraid of BGs and that's sad.

i dunno what's harder, though... being AMAZING at art like yourself and never being satisfied with what you've done,
or absolutely SUCKING like me and being okay with that. XDDDD
either way... you're too hard on yourself, but if that is what makes you great, i can't judge.
