Said the doctor as he walked outside today, "Tut, tut... Looks like rain."An original drawing of a little Plague doctor. He's more cute than morbid, but I wanted to use desaturated colors for a more "rainy day" feel.
While I wouldn't call this drawing "macabre and horror" exactly, Plague doctors tend to bring those sorts of thoughts to mind.
This drawing took 4 hours (I'm very slow when it comes to coloring) to complete, and I drew it with a Uniball pen, and colored in Adobe Photoshop CS4.
Today, I did not use my tablet! The good doctor was colored using my laptop's touchpad, which means I think I'll be needing a prescription for carpal tunnel syndrome sometime soon. Ha, ha.

And yeah, coloring like that made my hands hurt. A LOT. Yeowch, I wouldn't promote such pain on other artists... And yes, I do have a tablet. I was just being LAZY.
Although, someday, I seriously need to learn that my laziness is not worth the pain... *sigh*

Good grief, a friend and I cam up with this idea where the Black Plague had manifested itself into some sort of sentient entity, that began systematically killing (weird, I know, but we were up late) and these wandering masked doctors were armed with medicines and swords to duel with Plague! It was pretty cool in concept, I'd say more, but hey. XD
After the Plague's eventual defeat, more stuff began personifying, like the eternally cute, cuddly, but daft Yogurt. :3 And some people were afflicted with a condition in which they saw these things (and, er, faces) in every microbial entity... meaning eating bread must be really hard to do! (YEEEEEEAST!)
