I actually liked Loghain through the first book (The stolen throne), but I was so god damn disappointed when he betrayed Cailan in the game. (even though I never got to finish it *sob* )

I see. Unfortunately someone spoiled the game for me (he already told me that Loghain was going to betray the king), so I decided to read the books first (because he didn't read the books, so he couldn't spoil them as well). Anyway, I think I enjoyed the books more than I enjoyed the game (which is why I didn't finish it yet). Also, because I read the books, the fact that Alistar was a prince never surprised me. xD
