Decided to change little bit of a backstory of Aurora Star and Midnight Light.

"The curse of a sparkle"

Originally Aurora wasn't born as an alicorn, she was just a normal happy little unicorn filly. It was already known that Sparkle family had great unicorns with great and strong magic powers. The daughter, Twilight Sparkle, being firstly the student of a princess Celestia and also the owner of the element of "Magic". Then later on she became the princess of friendship and also the ruler of Equestria. While the son, Shining Armor, was a prince of Crystal Empire and he was also responsible of safety of the empire.

Actually Twilight was quite scared when she was expecting Aurora, she mostly taught that her first child could also be an alicorn like Flurry Heart. But she was relieved when she gave birth to a healthy unicorn girl.

Almost 12 years had pasted and the castle of Twilight's wasn't so quiet anymore. Aurora got some company, her younger siblings Nova Star and Midnight Light.

(I'm just gonna skip to the main point) The moment when Aurora had gotten her cutie mark she felt something weird inside of her. This growing power that she couldn't hold it in any longer. A powerful explosion of magic came through her horn and it's power created the wings of a alicorn. But the cost of the wings were too much to Aurora to handle, she lost her ability to feel any emotions again.

After the thing that happened with her Twilight decided to ask Starlight to put a spell on her youngest child Midnight, so the same thing wouldn't happen to him too. She also asked her to be his magic teacher so they could teach him to control his powerful magic someday.
