I grew up on Godzilla. So when digimon first came out I imagined my own digimon was like Godzilla (I picked the 98 version because it was the most recent one at the time and I loved the animated series.) I didn’t like how Godzillamon sounded so shortened it to Zilla. I had no idea the monsters name would officially become Zilla.
