VS System fan card for the DC Final Crisis (DFC) fan set.Backup (DCF-162) plot twist, a generic attack pump geared mainly for the JLA or JSA since they have many characters with Reservist.
During the last JSA story arch it was mentioned that the team might be growing too big and that it might have to let go it's newest recruits (Mr.America, Mr. Amazing, Magog, Judomaster, etc.) but decided it needed to keep the new heroes under it's wing.
I'm all for a big gallery of heroes, but there's a reason the JLU cartoon would have a like three big-name heroes teamed up with a B-list or two in each episode. You can't squeeze everyone into each issue, which feels like what JSA has been trying to do lately.
My friend MartianGreeny made the observation that the Teen Titans could get some new members if the JSA teens like Stargirl, Cyclone, and Lightning joined the Teen Titans.
Ever since Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and the rest have grown up and have their own comic: Titans, I've been able to count the current Teen Titans members on one hand...Wonder Girl, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, and now Red Devil has lost his powers during Reign In Hell.
It would be an easy fix and our favorite heroes would get more face time. The Teen Titan team needs...Backup!

Yep, 3rd smartest guy in the DC universe.
Good to know that if you're a hero, there's always another team you can call for backup.
As Dennis Miller would say, "I don't mean to go off on a rant here..."
That's what I never got in comics, some hero will go out on his own and find himself up against more villains than expected, like say Batman, at that point I just think, "put a call in to Superman and you're problem goes away faster than a speeding bullet." Unless you've got too much pride to ask for help, there's no reason to get in deep or out numbered.
Can't call Superman? He off on New Krypton? Then call the JLA. They busy, try the JSA, and so on. I can think of a dozen heroes with super speed off the top of my head without breaking a sweat.

Isn't the current team composed of Aquagirl, Blue Beetle, Bombshell, Kid Eternity, Miss Martian, Static, and Wonder Girl?

Looks like you may be right, I checked the Wikipedia article here .
Of course Kid Eternity and Static only just joined the team, so I didn't really know about them; but I did know that Bombshell has been coming and going on the team depending upon the storyline, since her dad works for the military, but I guess she's a formal member now.
That's still only a handful of heroes and you can't deny that they need some more members, and preferably ones who can pack a punch.

And Garth may be dead, but Aquagirl is a new character. Modern comics enjoy killing off the old guard, not the newbies.

In fairness, Eddie DID try to recruit Stargirl and Cyclone. They said no.
Still, a team-up card on that theme is easy enough.
"Play only if you contol a [TT Icon] character and a [JSA Icon] character.
Ongoing: Crossover [TT Icon] and [JSA Icon]. Also, [TT Icon] and [JSA Icon] characters you own have Reservist."
Or the narrower...
"Play only if you control a [TT Icon] character.
Ongoing: Character cars you own named Stargirl, Cyclone or Lightning have Reservist while in your resource row and the [TT Icon] affiliation while in play."
