That's what I thought of when I saw your deviation. I wouldn't have considered such a thing before hand. It looks like Pearl ventured there after she lost Rose, to see if it could heal what was broken, only to realize it's never that eady. Even Rose had her limitations.

Oh my, your interpretation is perfect. Main idea of drawing was "even tears can't heal her broken heart, Rose is gone and 
no one can replace her in heart of Pearl.
I'm so happy that someone understand"the message" from this drawing. Thank you soooooo much for your comment<3

Anytime, although I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed it though, some don't like to comment all that much.

I wonder if Pearl tried this after all, though I think it may be likelier she didn't feel up to it with the loss so fresh, and afterward she didn't want to admit how much it still wounded her.

Fresh from Rose's death Pearl didn't want to show her pain.And when she saw fontin memories and pain returned.
We know that sometimes Pearl is very emotional, she started crying cuz it still wounded and she wanted to be near 
something which looks like Rose, something can comfort her. But it was just cold statue. And then she said something, like "Maybe
tears can heal my heart, take this pain away, please, please" 
And we know that they can't do that It's sad.

It is, it could also be why she was so hesitant to enter the place again, even to heal Amethyst. I believe you've started a headcannon that works itself out.

Exactly, that's why she didn't want to visit this place again. Headcanons you said, maybe, I like when drawing "tells" some story. 
Hm, Pearl is sad on many of my drawings... so, maybe I should draw her happy with Rose, what do you think about it?
