...I've been a Nasty.I saw The Little Mermaid on Broadway yesterday, and Ursula left me pining for the movie version. So I had to achieve one of my long back burner projects and draw her.
She's so sassy and sinister and Poor Unfortunate Souls is one of the greatest villain songs ever (Up there with Oogie Boogie's song and Gaston imo). I just don't think she translated well to the stage, she wasn't nearly malicious enough for me... nor sassy. But... I'm a tough critic. ;D

I have never seen PotO but I thought the movie was pretty dull and my parents weren't fond of the play... THOUGH I think we may be the only people in the world who don't adore it. 
My favorite plays were Spamalot, Beauty and the Beast, and... well Wicked is just... perfect in my humble opinion.

Actually, my personal favorite villain songs are "Be Prepared" from the Lion King and "the World's Greatest Criminal Mind" from the Great Mouse Detective, but I can definitely respect your opinions. Also, terrific pic. Thanks very much for sharing this.

I've haven't seen the play but I've heard all the songs on broadway. I like most of the new music. * with "Wildest Dreams" and "If Only" being my favs* but I perfered the demo songs that Ursula sung before they were cut from the show. "All Good Things Must End" and "Wasting Away", you can find both on youtube.

Haha, well we'll say this is a "glamour shot" she got for her (fill in the blank) birthday before she got banished and had to put on lipstick via caviar.
As for the musical.... eh.
We enjoyed it but I wasn't too fond of the songs they toned down/added and nothing really connected with me. :/ I still think Beauty and the Beast is the best Disney musical... and I will always compare everything to Wicked... and they will always come up short.

It's tough to beat the original, and you did the original great justice. All the sass and sauce from the classic,and I really love the glow you put in there.
