Description
Although it might seem unassuming (especially since I HATE how the art in this page turned out) this particular installment establishes two very important reoccurring themes that will remain in place throughout the series.1.) Note that while polishing the Dragon Stone, Mercy was exposed to mystical gemstone fallout. In essence what power was previously locked away in the stone has now entered her. But no worries, I doubt there will be any Sid effects. Especially Gem Lupus.
2.) We see now for the first time that Sir Aon is an avid dragon hater. Seriously, I cannot emphasize how much he hates dragons. No, Really, he hates dragons more than anything in the universe. He would rather be flayed alive in a pool of lemon juice then let a Dragon's nest go unstomped, or a dragon craw go unslit. His single most outstanding personality trait is a deep rooted hatred for anything even remotely dragon-like. If Aon's hatred for Dragons was gasoline, he could fuel a fleet of rocket ships launched to circumnavigate the solar system a dozen times.
Anywho, page 2 is up and posted and I hope you're enjoying it so far. Also, I sincerely hope there is no such thing as a dick-wizard or cockomancer. If there is... well then the human race just became a little less worthy of existence.

Me and my team are NOT going to get along well with Aon.

Sir Aion reminds me of Gaston. He's like stereotypically badass.

That's EXACTLY who he should remind you of. You hit the nail on the head.

So...why has this business with the Dragon Stone never happened before in her whole life?
I love how absurdly Dragon-Hating Aon is throughout all these. He doesn't really come across as your basic 'stupid knight' to me. Just dedicated to his absolute hatred
One wonders why exactly...

God I love you, man. You ask the best questions.
1.) The reason the story opened with Magus is because he needed to state that the Dragon Stones had recently become active, since heβs the only one who could possibly know (being both a mage of gargantuan power, and a Dragon himself.) A bit of back story for you is that the Dragon Stones were once one single grand stone which comprised "the heart of dragon-kind." The occasional nod to Andromeda you might hear is referencing a knight of old who was able to shatter the dragon stone and render its collective power nullified. Now they are starting to spark back to life for a very, very, unpleasant reason which is yet to be revealed. Magus wants to get them all, or more importantly the power they house so that he can accelerate the βbad stuffβ on the horizon. Unfortunately for him, a worthy person who comes into contact with a shard of the stone during this volatile time could become infused with their power. That person would immediately turn up on his list of people to pay a visit to. Usually to devour them...
2.) As for Sir Aon, he actually has quite a tragic backstory despite his quirkiness. It will be illuminated later on in the story as he and Mercy become closer. I'm hoping it isn't too graphic, actually.
Anything else I'd need to say in a PM to avoid spoilers, but if it would help you with our trade Iβll spill the beans on whatever.

I have learned that us story tellers like having questions asked. I do what I can
Ah yes, I remember him saying that. I feel rather silly for not remembering now
Good to see you've got everything more or less worked out; just cos its a fourth wall busting fetishtic adventure doesn't mean it can't have depth after all.
Aha! I knew it! I had the oddest feeling Aon would be a tragic figure. Or have his backstory be completely silly. Turns out the first one was right

Indeed, I saw your questions and was like: "I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!"
Yeah, I pretty much found myself in this whole crazy fetish party thanks to the collective works of Steph Cherrywell. His comics were totally ridiculous, at times made no sense, at times made a startling amount of sense, and were all around just a ball to read. If you haven't checked those out then you simply MUST! I own both his latest books and can't wait to see what's next. They introduced me to that awkward feeling of "I might fap to this if I could stop laughing" and I'm eternally grateful.
If I can be half as deep and humorous as he always was, then I've outdone myself a thousand fold.
Aon's backstory will be illuminated more in either the next issue or the following one. Either way, that will not be a sexy sequence, and if you find it at all funny then I'm happy for you, but you might need therapy.

Are you kidding? I LOVE THAT SHIT! Muertitos, Flying Suit Reiko, Gorgeous Princess Creamy Beamy, Intragalactic, that guy is awesome!
...and of course I mean guy in a loose sense. Cherrywell is a lady, if I am not mistaken (Hence, 'Steph') but really that's been left fairly ambigious as far as I've seen. I believe the 'Steph' was said to stand for 'Stephen' at one point too. Urh, my head T_T
Well fortunately I do not get off on tragedy...unless you count some vore situations as tragedy. After all, SOMEONE is likely to be upset with the situation

~bro fist~
If I'm not mistaken Steph is Stephen, but I'm 99% sure he's a he, though like you I wasn't always so certain. There was a level of social commentary present in his writing style that sometimes made it hard to determine, but whatever, the force is strong in that one.
I've never considered vore terribly tragic, and my personal favorite kind is when a predator has the tables turned on them. Having a male villain in the story presented me with a dilema, cause I'm not a big fan of M/anything vore.
However, I feel like if I populate the story with lots of potential preds I can drudge through him eating anyone by just thinking of it as karma. Pretty soon Iβm going to ask for YOU THE VIEWERS to help with some additional characters. Maybe do a contest for other characters whoβve run into dragon stones and the one with the best design (illustrated or written description) will have their character appear in the comic.
But they might get eaten by Magus

Indeed. Best not think about it and instead just bask in the glow of their insane hilarity.
Seriously, some of the genuinely funniest stuff on the internet.
I have a different sort of perspective on the situation, but that takes in my confused opinions regarding EVERY DAMN FIGHT EVER.
I hate it when a powerful character suddenly gets their ass kicked, but I also hate it when said powerful character is genuinely outmatching everyone.
Situation seems amplified in vore. I guess being eaten is an odd way to go
Ah! Audience participation!
Well if he's into chomping people's heads off, I think that's okay. Giving him a big round belly might be a little weird though (but hey, not like this comic is 'normal,' amiright?)

Updated the comic on Eka's, since they're all vore fanatics.
No belly, but Magus swallows the poor baster whole instead.

This will not be an uncommon event, but a second dragon villain appears in the next chapter and SHE likes vore as well.
