I know that. I was just hoping to see the "multi-ethnic" fate crew. Clotho was Japanese, Lachesis was Niobe, and Atropos was black. Atropos sure knew how to kick harpy butt later in the book, a skill she learned from have to fend off the family dogs when she came to clean houses when she worked for a living.

Is this based on greek mythology? It seems to remind me of something.
The older female character reminds me of Handcock in someway.

Well it's based on a book by Piers Anhony. The series called "Incarnation of Immortality" deals with immortal beings who control different aspects. So I believe the Fates are loosely based on both Norse and Greek mythology.

it is. Both Norse and Greek Mythology have the same 3 goddesses. in Norse Mythology, the Fates told the gods that bound the Fenris Wolf that his bonds will break and will consume them. In Greek mythology, the Fates decided a young prince's fate: either by a wolf, an alligator, or a giant. At least, that's what i read anyways. =s

Yeah, the series was originally supposed to end with book five, but then it was extended to seven. And then he wrote another one.

No. They are three entirely differnt persons who share the same body. It's pretty complicated in the book, but it's like having three minds occupying one body, and the body changes according to which of the three aspects assumes control. But that's too complicated to show in a short comic so I just separated them.
