Description
"Grace, did you know that your crayon is made up of lots of tiny little pieces that all stick together?" Yeah, see how that goes...I sometimes find it odd to work on comics while I'm at work in the department office. Today I had a professor ask me if I was drawing on my computer. I said yes. He told me to keep it up. It's probably worth noting that I had this professor last year in an English class that focused on comics. My final paper was on education though the comic medium.
Also, this is the first of my comics to actually feature or take place in the Geek Lounge.

Mah, it was off the top of my head. I needed a name that was anything other than Johnny or Scotty or Billy or Susie.

I don't even understand why I have to take physics to teach middle school, I don't need to know that stuff to make a potato cannon!

also, it's good to know physics so you have a basic understanding the forces the cannon can produce on people and objects....then again, that's just Basic conservation of energy and stoof....
yeah, i was a physics major >.>

But I'm a Bio Major
I don't understand physics!
and I'm pretty sure 12 year olds don't either!

Well, Bio is like a lego city, 'cept with all the lego pieces being chemistry, and Chemistry is just Physics wearing a funny hat.
12-year-olds have a decent grasp of physics on their own-- it's inevitable-- but we can certainly teach them more... it's just a bit more incremental and applied...

I don't want a physics hat!
I think I can teach physics without doing the math...right? 12 year olds don't know calculus.

We do a lot of physics in my class without doing math. We do need math for gas laws, though...

I hope I don't have to do a lot of math..

But the kiddles, they ask so many questions! You, as a teacher, are expected to know as much as Bill Nye. It is the way of the world, but we're getting there.

Then I will watch ALL of Bill Nye!
Can you buy Bill Nye seasons on DVD?

YES!!! Does that mean I don't have to take physics?

Nope. Always remember-- videos must be supplemental if not sparse. Elsewise ye'll feel the wrath of Mr. Organ upon you. I will tell.
Also remember that Ms. Woods hates Bill Nye. As one of my professors said last week, "Science doesn't suck!" It pushes. Then again, "suck" is a relative term, but it's still all about equalizing pressures...
