What program did you use to make this? All I have right now is GIMP.

I used Illustrator, but it can be done fairly easily in GIMP as well. Just create a radial gradient (via Blend Tool) with the colors of your choice, starting at the center of the canvas and dragging to the outer edge, and crop it to a circle with the Ellipse Select Tool. Draw the curved highlight with the Paths Tool (using a white stroke) on a separate layer and apply a Gaussian Blur filter.

I did it.
Would you consider this a close attempt:

Looks pretty close to the orbs on some Energy Cards (namely the exEmerald holos). 940ee6dce6677fa01d25-0f55c9129β¦

Now, I need to put the symbol font on it. Do you know I can do that?

Custom symbols or official symbols?

First you'd probably have to remake the orb without the white highlight, draw/paste the symbol onto another layer, then make the white highlight on another layer above that.
For official symbols, feel free to use this font: icycatelf.deviantart.com/art/Pβ¦
If the symbol you're using has a white background, change the layer blending mode to Multiply.

Would it be alright if I could borrow this and the fairy symbol you put on PokΓ©beach please? I'd like to try out an experiment to see if I can create the perfect Fairy type orb.

Thank you. I'll experiment with them right away, and post the results on here as soon as I'm done.

I hope it goes well. This is what I used when I made my previous (official) type orbs, so it shoul be okay. The trickiest part for me was making it darker/lighter without distorting the highlight/shadows, but Multiply, Burn, Hard Light, and Overlay helped a lot.
