Her parents knew. They knew on All Hollow’s Eve that their child was the one. While the mother wept quietly, the father was pacing. It was destiny, they knew, but it still hurt. It hurt a lot.
So they decided that the child would be better off in an orphanage where she might not discover who she was. They wrote down her name, birthday, All Hollow’s eve, 12 AM, and a short message on a piece of paper. They took the to America and gave her to an orphanage. Then they left.
The nuns let the keep the note since it was addressed to her. As she grew and was taken into different families, she couldn’t help but discover what she was. She was different, she knew. But it wasn’t until she watched a friend dying of cancer that she found out. The friend, Kayla, is still living and only a few blocks from her dear friend’s house in Monterey, California.
Then she began to persue her past and when she bought the crystal ball, she looked. She looked and saw the Prophecy.
Her eyes light and reflecting the starry sky even during the day, her easy smiles and joking nature are what her neighbors and clients know. She changed her last name to not bring shame to her family and she gave herself a working nickname, Phoenix. Her long black hair was almost never held together in anything.
She mismatched clothing and talked to her cat, parrot and snake. They usually talked back unless she was bothering. She would laugh at them and give them space.
But even with all the laughter and easiness, she still has the note in her small bedside table drawer.
‘Ila Donovan, October 31st, 1980, 000 AM; We truly hope that you will find love after all. Blessed be.’

Ila Donovan is just ur everyday witch. thats right, u heard me. she was made after i read the first 2 Donovan Legacy novels by Nora roberts. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED to read all 4!!! im about to start the 4th. <33

anyways, her last name now is Woswill. she works as a psychic and can get in touch with ur relatives... as well as other things. she saved her best friend Kayla in grade school when she visted her in the hospital and she was... well... dying. that was when she saw she was... strange. the prophecy? it simply says that the Donovan who is the leader of the will never find love. hence the note.

yeah. stuff.

Kayla has a husband who is in Iraq and a 6-yr-old daughter. yeah.

realism rules... tho its hard.
