Description Its so much easier to take photos of things that you are passionate about! This image was motivated by my friend: manishamanoj.deviantart.com ! Thank you for your request C: !

The tea in the tea cup is Darjeeling tea which comes from a Indian tea set my friend gave me for my birthday! There are four types and today I tried the first one! YUM!

Enjoy!

This photo is beautiful, you have worked in the rule of thirds perfectly. Also your lighting is perfect. A lot of people struggle with that, especially with white objects; I always find they're overexposed. One thing I might change is the background, the wooden table is warm and inviting, but I think green or maybe a mint table top would really make the flower and tea stand out. Of course, if you don't have access to that you can't help it.

Honestly I can't think of anything else to improve on, so well done! I'm a tea addict as well ♥

Thank you so much for your comments and suggestions!

Haha its interesting, you are the second person to suggest

some green into the photo. Its fantastic hearing peoples perspectives on what can be improved and their different ways of viewing an image!

You're very welcome! Contrasting colours are a photographer's secret (; Search Steve McCurry's Afgan Girl photo, that's the perfect example. The red and green compliment each other so well there. Anyways it's great no matter what!

WOOHOO!! I am happily addicted to tea

I love this image. It's so quiet and relaxing. The orthogonal partition with the wooden structure from the Table makes it. But it's not boring because of thestrukture and the small stains.  I can smell the fragrance (is it the right word?) from The tea and I really like to taste the sweets - in germany it's called turkish honey.

Lokum, that's the name i've forgotten, the turkish name. My favourite is with almonds in it.

Wow theres turkish delight with almonds in it?

I've never ever seen that! Does it taste good?

I mean, isn't turkish delight squishy and then almonds are like pretty crunchy?

With almonds, with pistachios, walnut… you only can buy it in turkish stores (here in germany) or in Turkey… It's even better than without. it's a little bit harder, more crunchy, but tastes … well… indescribably delicious.

You did an amazing job at choising the tones and textures for your image. The positioning of the teapot and cup are also great, especially in what concerns the details - the handles and flowers. Theres is just one tiny thing that kindof bothers me: the wet spot in the top left corner. The one slightly below it is less noticeable, and somewhat blends nicely into the image, but the top one is really dark and draws the attention to it. Not sure if that's intentional for compositional purposes - in which case consider making it a little bit lighter; or just an accident - in which case consider removing it altogether. The same goes for tiny spots far away from the sweets and on the tea pot, if you ever intend to print this. In print, these little things are really noticeable, especially in large prints. Say, in a journal, the dot in the top left (and I'm not talking about the wet spot any more, but the white dot) would be comparable to characters in an article on the facing page - so quite large and noticeable. To make sure that you don't miss anything, consider going through your image file at 100% in your editing software, bit by bit, and remove all the unwanted sports. But I'm just being picky. Great shot overwise, very nicely done.

Wow this is probably the largest comment I have ever received!

Yes, I agree with you, I actually saw that after I had posted it and submitted it to a couple of groups D:

SO if I ever do decide to print it, I shall go through it pixel by pixel haha

Picky is good Its the details in the end which make a great photo

Thank you so much for your thought out comment and criticisms! It means a lot!

Beautiful setting and interesting angle! I really like the warm colours in this photo and it just makes me think of a relaxed afternoon.

I think that your watermark is a little bit distracting, perhaps make it smaller and more on the lower right corner? Also, I think you could increase more of the contrast between the cups and the table and they seem a bit yellowish, but this is a lovely photograph! Good job!

This photo would be better if it had a green element to offset the very warm overall color composure without being too distracting, but otherwise a nice photo taken from an angle that adds an interesting perspective
