Description
Finding a male Ballet partner was impossible for DG....ONLY due to the fact that she weighs 220+ lbs. /100 kg.But with the most formidable technique ever encountered ( leaps 18+ inches/ 46+cm higher than the best male dancers), she explored the possibility of dancing male roles. A progressive Ballet company consented to an audition.
The first ballerina to volunteer to Dance with DG ( who also happened to be a principal dancer for the company) at once pronounced DG her dancing partner.
" When I'm lifted it seems I'm as light as a feather and have no concern whatever about being dropped!" Said Lillian Nurphy.
" But that doesn't mean you can quit your diet!" Said her ballet coach.
" We may...um...be able to reach a..uh...wider audience..." The artistic director was then quickly jabbed in the ribs.
" Having boobs against my back instead of a man's chest is going to take some time to get used to...but i can handle it" Said Lillian with a wry grin.

Not bad, but where are the erect, cone-shaped nipples!?

Where is the proportionality here? I don't see any of it. Art and the human form needs proportion. REALISTIC proportion

The people for whom this art is intended...proportions are a matter of taste..."some of the rules can be bent..others broken."
But your point about realistic proportions is well taken...but it them into practice is for other artists much better than I.

Eh, my name's DG and I love ballet and this pic was like wtf??? ^ ^
Seriously, who's your DG? It's a freaking rare name.

My DG stands for "Dream Girl" ....Yea I know ...real original....
Her real name is Diana Gomez..if I were to write a fiction of some sort.
You like ballet? I recently discovered ballet myself. What prompted this pic is the thought that DG is a ballet dancer but since she weighs 220+ pounds..she has to dance roles that do not require a dancer to be lifted...like Myrtha. Or...she dances roles for guys...and since she is sooo strong...her lifts are effortless and whoever she's partnering has no worries about being dropped or something....like what happened in Black Swan.
This is a fantasy after all..

Awesome. My name's DG, but it's just a pair of letters. (Long story).
I discovered ballet when I was about 11 out of a book, and ever since then, I've been pretty much fascinated with it. On my page, the blond guy is a ballet dancer. And a bunch of other stuff, but takes his ballet very seriously. ^ ^
How'd your DG get to be 220+?

Good question...a combination of working out plus magic.
I was first into women's gymnastics..mainly floor and uneven bars. On youtube there are videos of Lilipod( that's her nickname..don't ask me to spell her full name) incorporated a couple of ballet steps in her floor routine...that led me into ballet.

"An unusual departure from your regular portraits. But it does make sense. Ballet dancers are required to be in top physical condition, because of the high demands the roles they play require. So, it makes sense that an athletic, well-muscled young woman such as DG would find this art an attractive outlet. Of course, with her size and great strength, she wound up in a supporting role (I know, bad pun; it happens ) to the lead dancer. As for the picture, it's a bit subdued by your usual standards. But working with dark grays, browns and shades of black can make body definition harder to portray."
"OK, next time we read the instruction manual before we try to put the thing together..."

You are correct about the coloring aspect.
But when it comes to Dancing...the next pic will have a clue about how to deal with the situation you observed.

To do a all black leotard is kinda difficult...the material is not meant to be shiney. I could use some pointers on how to color....
