Oh I'm definitely inspired, but doing so in my apartment will be a challenge. The lighting sucks; I think that's the reason so many of our recent shoots ended up with less that great quality. I'll have to see what I can come up with!

I wish I had secluded natural areas in which to do photoshoots near where I live..

Yeah, we have some awesome areas around here, but I don't trust my self timer skills enough to go out alone. It just works better with my other buddies to trade off on working the camera.
Oh well. Cest la vie. I'm hoping to get a house soon and maybe the lighting and space issues won't be as bad there!

I have never read a Pern book I didnt love. I used to own all of them including the maps of Pern and encyclopedias lol.. Do try to read them in order..

OMG utterly lovely. I'm a massive fan of McCaffrey and have been keeping my eye out of something of this nature for a long time. The Dragons of Pern have inspired many of my childhood artworks. If you like Pern, be sure to pick up the Tower and the Hive Sequence. Well worth it!

No problem! You reminded me actually. I'm on the look out for new inspiration for my next big digital work and i'd forgotten how inspiring the Pern saga is. I think i'm going to paint a dramatic scene from The Skies Of Pern, but i wont tell you because it'll ruin things for you as i don't think you're that far in yet. hehe

I've read all three books about Menolly (harper Hall series) ages ago and recently just finished Dragonflight, DragonsDawn, DragonsEye (also called Red Star Rising) & am about to embark on DragonQuest
And I have tons of her Pern series to read still
