In honor of the new R&C game, Insomniac is holding a wonderful little weapon design contest with some awesome prizes. For those who don't know, all you gotta do is submit a pic (artistic ability is not a concern) of the weapon and a description of the weapon.

The winner gets a trip to San Diego for ComicCon, $200 sony gift card, a copy of the new game when it comes out, and best of all, their design will be used for the final weapon in the game as well as a life-size replica of the weapon (I may have forgotten some stuff too, though, unfortunately enough for may people, this contest is only open to US residents).

This particular weapon you're seeing is a joke. I just really liked the pose, but I didn't want to show off the actual weapon until after the contest is said and done, so I made up a goofy weapon that for all I know could have potential in this contest (No stealing!)

Waht the gun does is when you shoot soemthing with it, it asplodes in an array of pretty colors (reminiscent of confetti) and the resulting blast hits everything within a currently undetermined radius.

Funny concept, fun to watch (not sure how to play with,), but not sure if ti would in with what the rest of the arsenal would be like.

Either way, this was mostly for the pose. Now that I've gotten the hang of this style, expect some of my fan characters to finally look like their source material would have dictated.
