This photo was inspired by a terribly emotional and quite tragic dream I had earlier today. I won't go into detail about the dream too much here but it made me realize a few things... The most apparent is that life is not just about the things that make us happy. I've never experienced loss before, but in this dream I did and there's a lot more to life that I might have been ignoring or simply not seeing.So take this photo as you will and I hope you feel an emotional response from it because even sad things have immense importance in our journey.

Also the title is from an excellent song, look it up if you'd like its by Kansas. You've probably already heard it before, but if you haven't it is definitely worth listening to.

Love those colors, and the title gives it an eerie feel to the picture, a little creepy but in a good way, mysterious element thrown in, lovely!

Awesome. Great depth of field, and really interesting color. As someone who is missing 5 or 6 family members, and you can't forget beloved family pets, I can definitely see some connection here. Life in a way becomes colorless, and everything becomes near sighted. Days are long, and you can't really imagine a future where you do not hurt anymore.

Thanks! :huggles: That was exactly the emotion I was going for! I've only lost a number of people before and none of them was due to death, and I can't even fathom how much worse it would feel. That dream help me realize a lot!

I've been working on remembering all my dreams once I wake up so I remembered this one. Doesn't always work though but I think I needed to remember this one, only because it was so significant.

That's precisely why I've been trying to recall as many dreams as I can, the more I remember the easier it'll be to lucid dream and eventually astral project. It's rather difficult at times though. xD

Yeah. I have successfully taken control of a dream twice. And many more times I have been self aware in the dream, but I was still sorta just going along with it. Even if you are just conscious while dreaming its a cool experience. It's just been hard to get back into it because when I wake up during the school year I pretty much have to jump out of bed and head to class XD

Indeed! I'm hoping I can slowly train myself to wake up automatically really early in the morning that way school won't interfere with my practices. We'll see how that goes
But yeah, it is a very kool experience! I think the hard part, for me, is being able to do anything about it. Many times once I'm lucid it's very difficult to act out against the dream, as though my entire mind is against me and if they know I'm aware it's a dream they'll beat me up or something. LOL

And indeed, it's always a good thing to appreciate life the way it is and the people you know as well... because you don't want to ever live with the regret of lack of appreciation or an unexpressed love; the burden would be certainly heavy to carry.
