Alrighty, forewarning, I'm not a 'technical' critique person. I can merely appreciate the vision that an image represents. I hope that one of our more accomplished members can take a stab at the technical aspect for us!
I really enjoy 'tree archway' photos because they lead one to imagine what wonders could be lurking at the end of the tunnel. Is it life? Immortality? Faeries? Death? I personally enjoy this photo because it is in line with our group vision-- showing us what the world looks like through your eyes. We all have our special spots that inspire us in magical ways, and by opening a window to it through photography, we can share it with the world.
I enjoy this more than your other shots of this same space, since the trees have knit together across the top forming an almost unbroken roof; adding to the tunnel effect.
These types of shots are quite popular, but I really like the shadow gradient you captured in this.
My one picky point however, is the pathway in front of the trees in the foreground. I personally feel that it may become a better shot without the urban aspect right out front. I think it just messes with the wonderful yellow-to-green tone gradient that has infused this image with light and mystery.
Out of curiosity, try this as a black and white photo, you may be able to bring out some more depth with the shadows. If I were to edit it in B&W, I would leave the shadow on the sidewalk as-is since it won't clash with those beautiful grass shades that Nature has bestowed, and continue to add that lovely dappled effect in the foreground.
Overall, I really do like this image. (I am somewhat biased since I really do have a wierd fascination with tree photographs from the start) and it is a work that I have thoroughly enjoyed thinking about. Great work, I would like to see more shots of this place!
Thank You for sharing,
~Mel

Thank you so much for the critique, it's much appreciated! Hmm I think perhaps I will experiment a bit more with this photo, try out your suggestions on making it black and white. We shall see
