Very nice shot! Personally I prefer this one, but it's tough to decide between the two Love the square format of this one, though Awesome stuff!

It's like in the 80s ! ... and it seems a bit... out of dravity with those graffitis...

Great shot, Ida! I'm kinda partial to this one, but everything looks better in a square format lately.

Yes, that craze is pretty infectious.

I certainly love boyh but if I was put under pressure to choose....well, it would be the full view with the contrast of the brick work...

ha lala
that is what i call my hometown

lets say it slow and easy
lala
lala

there you go
it works

there was a sign up the mountain above our place
saying to the world and across the valley

HOLLYWOODLAND

but i guess they got sick of the 'Land"
and stuck with just the 'Wood"
we used to play up there, and then do some serious stuff up there later as we got to be teenagers

there was this thorny Holly tree in our front area of the house in the hills, below that sign.
The sign that still is in my dreams
Losing your baseball in there was always dangerous, as sticking your hand in there to retrieve it, ususally came
back all scratched and bleeding.
I hated that tree sometime, well more of a huge bush.
A Holy Holly bush maybe.
And I recall The Hell's Angels having a compound up on top of the drive we lived on (Camrose) way up there
at the end of Franklin Street.
Often they would blast down our way, waving to all the kids on the block, maybe 10 or so Harley's smoking down
to Highland and maybe up to Sunset Boulevard, for some fun we were not quite redy to understand.
My father told us to stay clear of those guys, and that right there made me even more curious and I ended sneaking into there
compound a few times. They were all nice guys and gals.
But pretty wild looking and i knew there was trouble brewing around the corner.
but they ended up making it pretty fun trouble i guess.

I just realized those are beer kegs
cool shot
sorry for the ridiculousness of my ramble up there.
just the Lala reminded me of being a kid in Hollyweird.

No problem.. LALA tells me nothing.
It's good that you have a story for each word

DocSonian In reply to ideoda [2009-03-31 00:05:45 +0000 UTC]

You do get that the LA was Los Angeles
sorry
think I often write and it does not make sense
take things for granted etc in our west coast slang here

wasting your time and you then go
what was all that about?

well i guess my stories can be ridiculous
I see too much in images maybe
know there is a cute character here named Lala too
but that is a whole different silliness

one of my art dealer/gallery folk that shows my work, dislikes when i try to explain my abstract paintings to him when he comes over here to check my recent work out.
when he would rather take them on his own and see what he wants to

it's all subjective maybe I like seeing too much
in the end
words become the very thing we trip over
