Description
I drew this guy on the paper wrapping of an image I was doing for art class containing non-traditional staining media. I was using coffee, and while I was waiting for it to dry, I drew him!This will be moved to scraps soon. I just liked the stain effect and his expression.
Coffee, pencil, and a spot of Iodine (for the eyes)

I literally watered coffee grounds down, and took a paintbrush and painted with it ^^

I tried to do a coffee-painting once, but I couldn't get the coffee stain very dark, and then it ate through my paper. XD

LOL wow what sort of paper were you using? The stuff for our project was a 4 ply Bristol, thick stuff! But this guy was just on parchment paper, but it didn't soak through :B But yea, it's hard to get coffee very dark, but then you use iodine

Hehehe...I was just using drawing paper. Bristol is a good idea; I might try that. I've also been playing with herbal teas, 'cause some of them are very colorful.

This is a awesome sketch! I love his facial expression and eyes, they seem to have a little glow in them. He looks wonderful, the coffe stain looks very good on him.

dig the collie. reminds me of my shetland sheep dog (miniature collie) who has long since past. best dog ever. don't tell my new dog though. she's pretty good too. nice to have a little something more to remember her by.
