Well I asked myself this question so often and every time came up with different answers. One time it was that it hasn't a reason, the other time it was giving meaning, just as DestinyRose said.
I have to say that the meaning for me is the search of it's meaning. I don't know if I can ever answer this question, probably no one can ever answer this really in general. But I love living this life and I like how it's meaning changes so often.

The meaning of life is to give life a meaning.

To me life is whatever you make of it. It's existence. If you meant what is the purpose of life, then to me it's being a part of society and participating in it to help others, i.e. not necessarily just to have kids and raise the next generation, although that's important too.

Where I come from, our answer to everything is our friend Anne-Marie. Whenever we need something or need to go somewhere, all we need to do is say her name and we have our passage key. Funny as it is, she told us she was actually a size 42, and because technically 42 is the answer to life's unanswered question, I would say that Anne-Marie is the answer to life.

I think life is finding what makes you happy and doing that to the best of your abilities. Sometimes it might not be easy, then others days it might be the easiest thing in the world. It's the struggle to do something that you love to do.

also, the book of life movie was out this week (Saturday) (i was going to see it with my best friend, but recently we've been having.....problems, so i never went...so right now, my life sucks)

Life is the never-ending struggle to obtain happiness. It is accepted that the powerful decide the rules of the game and the weak must be their sheep. They allow a few sheep to taste power just to keep hope among the other sheep so that they're never challenged. Life is also the never-ending struggle to understand all the metaphors weirdos write on the internet. The game ends whether you win or you lose. And in some cases the happiness we find (in addictions) is just as bad as losing.
