I love this hype! So I’ve been playing Pokémon since day one with Red and of course I’m loving how Niantic has brought this into the real world (I would do a few things differently, but it’s still awesome). Now people are hopping on the band wagon and the bullies that teased us nerds in school are now asking us for advice, but my friend made an excellent point the other day. As true and loyal fans, we should be thrilled that one of our favorite worlds and characters are piercing a wider audience. The term Pokéball is breaking social barriers. The fandom has grown exponentially around the world and finally “culture” has caught up to us. We were just early adopters and beta testers, but now we should be proud of our newly converted nerd colleagues.
And still some friendly rivalry… bring it on. Fight for Team Valor, Team Instinct, or Team Mystic and show your allegiance with these designs by printing them on shirts, phone cases, or posters for the wall. So when your friend sees it and starts getting rowdy, you can slap him in the face with your Pokédex and explain why you have a 1300cp Weedle. Cause you’re the best!
