Porting some photos from the old DA account to this one. This is an oldie but a goodie. Well, at least to me it is. lolThis is Tali [link] dressed as Roxy from Magna Carta. We took this set at Sakuracon 2009. Lemme just say, wow this girl can model her little heart out. It really showed that she'd done modeling before, the shoot was awesome.

I used the colors on her outfit and skin to draw the eye towards her and using the surrounding colors as a direct contrast by desaturating them.
The light in the room was relatively bright, so I used a pretty high shutter speed a flash at 1/2 power at camera right. (Wireless)
Then I stepped back as far as seemed logical, gave Tali the signal to pose when the crowd traffic was just right, zoomed in just slightly and...CLICK!
It seems like a lot when it's written, but it was actually a pretty simple shot.
