Description
Now, this is the pose I imagine Jacques Cartier took before ordering a number of Native American men to be kidnapped, starting an ongoing injustice. How are we able to flaunt such flagrant... bigotry? These men should not be heroes. They should be forgotten mistakes.Related content

Well, if we forget our past, aren't we bound to repeat it in our futures?

Not if we progress as a culture with a rational mindset. The thing is- we haven't kept this as a memory of a mistake, we've canonized these murderous WASPS (White anglo-saxon person) and made them Saints. They murdered indigenous people. We hail them as heroes, important to our history? Let the memories rot as their corpses already have.

It's rather unfortunate that we can never truly connect being human with being rational. We're a backwards little race, aren't we?

Well, there are certain elements of the human race that are not backwards. Though, in North America it's a different story.
