Description
Gees, I started this picture back in February. This is back when there was still snow outside, it's almost snow outside againSo if you see any errors, it's probably because it's so old and I didn't know any better a year ago
EDIT: You can see the work in progress here [link]

I must say, when i scan your gallery quickly this looks like the most professional picture. I am not sure... maybe it's the proportions, or the use of colour. The line work and background are both great too!
Splendid job.

This looks great even if it's as old as you say it is. I honestly don't see any errors. The color scheme really helps it feel wintery. Only think I think I could say is add more to the far background, even if they are just shapes that are lightly faded into the sky to add some depth. But seriously, this is wonderful stuff!

Very nice hon! I adore your coloring style still. Very original concept as well, he's not like half bird, half something, but he still has a lot of little details and features that still give him that bird feel. The scales/feathers on the armor, etc. Fantastic background too hon! Keep being amazing. ;3

Mozart wrote an opera called Die ZauberflΓΆte, involving a typical romance between a prince and a fair maiden, thwarted by an evil queen, with an underlying theme of light vs. dark, and overcoming evils etc. Anyway there's this man dressed like a bird, named Papageno, who, for some reason, must journey with the valiant prince, and who, never shuts up. I've always had a soft spot for the Papageno character...

Oh I see, I haven't heard of it before! Makes sense now though. But I imagined this birdman to be more of the quiet type. But now that I think about it, birds are pretty yappy

My goodness, this takes me back... to February. Whatever I was doing then.
HOORAY! You finished it! Oh, and a trick you can do for color, is to color everything in gray, in order to get the lighting, layers, and objects in the right place, then change the color by adjusting the color balance. Selections and mask tools work wonderfully to blend one color into the other even when adjusting color balance.

Yeah, who remembers February? It was so long ago..
That's a good idea actually. Maybe I'll try that on one of my future pieces for fun.
