so i did the one on the left in june 2011. my very first digital painting. [link] i did the one on the right tonight.

i don't know, i think the After image looks like a really pale Beyoncé. but the model's name is Alex! regardless, it was made with only the round hard brush, no colour picking from the original, just eyeballing it, no line drawing underneath, i didn't even zoom in (other than the highlights on the eyes and earrings). i think i'm on the right track. it looks less cartoony.
