Wow, mate, extreme minimal 
Now, don't get me wrong, it is very well done, but I think a bit boring. There isn't enough going on. But! I could totally see it as a simplified version of a site for a smart phone or a tablet, then it would be perfect

I would say a little more in terms of navigation. I gather you are trying to utilize the "Minimalistic Portfolio" and "Contact" with the yellow horizontal bars as the menu?
It is unclear how the user would go from the gallery page to the contact page.
Also, an about page? Perhaps not necessary, but I feel even if the sole purpose is to display images, people like to know about the people making the images, what they do, why they do it, somethings alone those lines.

Like I said before, this could work nicely for like a smartphone. So this could be the simplified version, and the new version could be the not-simplified version for a computer
