Description Worked on this on and off for weeks, I think I love how the background turned out .

This was meant to be a more colour-based piece, so I did not use the values method I employed for the rest of my paintings. Tried giving a more dynamic perspective, I think it actually worked.

The same cannot be said for the dragon though, he looks really out of place . Please, do suggest how I can fix this, I'm not exactly all that good at this...

Absolutely beautiful work I love the richness in the lighting. It gives the work a strong "sunset" feel to it. I also must agree that you did a great job on the dynamic perspective you were aiming for.

I don't think he looks out of place, he's the justification for the tilted horizon as he banks. The only thing I can think off is, a little higher up the image might gain a bit of dynamic.

I thought the colour was slightly off, but yeah, the dragon's there as an excuse to slant the entire thing I'll see what that does, then!

Nice work, and such good use of colors for the sky and the angle really gives it the impression that I am flying along with the dragon.
As for your dragon not fitting in, I have the same problem too sometimes. Try adding a layer above your piece, pick a light color. (the yellow from the sun would work nice here I think) set the layer to "color" and lower the opacity to around 10% it'll make everything less saturated.

I wanted this to be a more colour-oriented piece, so I gave the sky more than one colour. Also, I was hoping the angle would give that effect

This! Is so awesome. The background is amazing! the colors are really pretty. C: maybe to fix the dragon you could darken the green color a bit and make it the same shade as the green in the ocean? It may be the striking green that makes him seem out of place and making it a similar green to the one in the background will sorta blend it in a bit. But it is still very wonderful C: I love it's wings, giving it a sense of movement and it's as he is gliding towards the sunset.

In retrospect, I should have done that . I wanted him to stand out, but it seems like using colours to do so was a mistake. Values are the way to go! Thanks for the awesome comment, by the way

This is beautiful! Really striking I think the dragon isn't as detailed as the cliffs, the sky and the sea, he looks kinda plastic, so maybe if you add some small details on him, like scales, he would look better? It's still a really good piece though!
