Description
I wish I could tell you what this is. I really do. Except I have not the slightest idea eitherWas experimenting with a new messier style when a concept waltzed into my mind, so I had to work on it. And this came out. Took a shorter time (3-4 hours?) than my other pieces, I hope that's a good sign.
Quite different from what I'm used to doing. Sorry I couldn't include dragons, but I think I need a break from dragons however much I love them
And what is a sci-fi concept without a planet in the background? Notice how shitty it looks. I couldn't be arsed to read a tutorial, so I floundered my way through
And that truck looks very out of place.
So, anyway, enjoy!
As always, constructive criticism is welcomed and encouraged!
Light bridge FTW

If there was actually a planet covered in metal like that, it would be the best thing ever.

I was kinda envisioning it as a waste planet, where scuttled ships and garbage from all over the galaxy ends up.

Wow, that's a very interesting picture. I like iron/rock-like things. They look like from some post-apocalyptic scenario - they're really cool! And I like that truck there - it looks like most important thing in the picture
And it really only took you so little time?! I'm always so slow - I'm a little envious. I wish I was able to create more quickly too .
Anyway, good job here!

Thank you! I've been wanting to do something sci-fi for a while, and sci-fi goes well with desolation. So this came about. The truck was also there to give a sense of scale, and I also want something to go with the light bridge. To tell the truth, I'm not that sure how long this took me; I get distracted every few minutes so 3-4 hours is a very conservative estimate Slow and steady wins the race!

Really cool picture. It looks to be a futuristic wasteland with a pristinely clean road (we need that material now ). I like how the blueness of the road contrast the otherwise warm elements of the picture.

I was trying to get the bridge to be the main point of interest, so the color and "cleanness" contrast helped I was imagining it to be some sort of energy bridge, Halo-esque.

I have a good tip Nelv. If you're drawing surfaces of rock or metal. Find a texture stock photo. When you're working in Photoshop. Put the texture photo in a new layer and lower the opacity. Oh, and erease any parts that stick out naturally. [link]

Just call me Nel . Thanks for the tip! That was what I did with the planet; just slapped a texture on there. I didn't think I needed one here though, partly due to the messier style. Will do for future works though
