It totally should have ended with Aizen capturing Ichigo, using Ichigo as the new Soul King (the thing that holds the worlds together) and then his friends rescuing Ichigo this time. Since, yanno, Ichigo rescued all of them more than once!

i know. just seems odd that ichigo would fight for the quincy when it's obvious that everything he cares about would be destroyed...unless he was like ishida and was tricking everyone

Oh yeah, definitely. I don't think anyone is going to try and suggest that Ichigo would fight for the Quincies. Only What Ifs or AUs

I never suggested that Ichigo would fight for the quinicies, like u said that would be downright absurd, but I could imagine him working together with the just and "good" quinicies, learn form them how to control their powers, and use these in his acutal fight against whatever may come but always keeping in mind that his quincy power can erase spiritual beings without return. which would not be bad in the case of juha bach, just as a sidenote^^
I don't want to spoil my idea on how he got the quincy outfit but maybe your fantasy is as crazy is mine you may find a way ^^
