Description
Cross-eye stereo version. Obviously can't be viewed at full size, but I decided to include it anyway in case anyone wanted it for some reason..mpo file for 3DS: [link]

The depth of the scene made it a little hard to focus at first, but the clarity and natural feel is simply amazing!

Crossing my eyes makes everything look extremely blurry. It hurts, too.

when I try to view it all that happens is my vision gets blurry and I can't make out anything

I prefer this to the anaglyph version- this works just as well and the anaglyph murdered the colours

I tried downsizing the image, but for some reason when the image overlaps, one of my eyes stops seeing at all, and then i see my right eye coming back to normal focus before my left eye sees again. :C

If you try and focus on each eye individually, they will start to fade in and out as your brain attempts to manage the conflicting information. Try not to focus on the individual images, focus on the distance between the two images and getting them to the point of convergence. When they meet in the middle, they should "lock" into a single 3D image without much effort. When you do it right, the effect should be automatic.

it took my brain minute to override the logic and change focus to unrealistic distance. worth every second.

Totally blown away, I had no idea that this kind of 3d was possible. I mean, once you think about it it makes perfect sense, but... wow, those are some good results.
Focusing on my screen normally now makes my eyes feel weird.
Tips for those trying to do it the first time:
1) Cross your eyes and relax, try to keep the image from bouncing around. It doesn't matter if anything looks right yet and it's all a double-vision mess.
2) There should be 4 blurry images of rarity that you percieve now, if you've crossed your eyes enough. Try to bring the two inside ones together to lay over each other.
3) Once they lay over each other, tell yourself it's actually one image and start focusing on rarity. Relaxing and convincing yourself it's one image is the main thing, if you try to do it "manually" you'll fail.
After that, my eyes just sort of took over and slowly the fuzzy Rarity sharpened into an absolutely gorgeous 3d image. Thank you so much for this post, dear artist!
Also, it's important that you don't look at anything else while you're doing this, or think about the fact that your computer screen is like twice as wide or anything. I start losing focus when I do that. Concentrate on Rarity again to restore the image. I strongly recommend after doing this that you look at a distance object, and then back to a close one, and one in the middle. Repeat that a few times to make sure your visual cortex gets over mind-screw.

How to view these:
Step 1: Cross your eyes, this can be accomplished by looking at your nose and moving up slowly to the space between your eyes.
Step 2: Get the two middle Raritys to overlap tiling your head or leaning forward or backwards.
Step 3: This is the hard part and takes a few tries, focus on the two overlapping Raritys without breaking focus. Basically, look at the middle one.
Step 4: Change your underwear.

Now just make a small animation for it. That would kick so much ass.

Amazing! The only problem is, I can't actually view it cross-eyed, so I had to go into Paint and switch the sides around so I could view it the "eye-unfocusing" way, but once I did that, it looked fantastic!

I had to mirror it since I can't do crosseye very well. I can do walleye though, and it looks great. I am hoping you do decide to do the other ponies eventually. I imagine with the base model in place at least you wouldn't need to do quite as much work for other ponies as this one?
