Description
Another photograph I took. The only light source was the sun.
I worked with tonemapped pictures and did a medium postwork in photoshop. Most was retouching, because the subsurface consisted of many white sheets of paper.
Taken with a 4MP digital camera.

Great photo! I agree with ~catharinina the ISO settings need changing but it is certainly very good considering the standard of camera!

sharp 4mp camera, most 4mp cameras I remember came out before digital cameras had good lenses or good sensors, but proper lighting is always more important than the best glass

I agree, lighting is important, but this old 4mp is very bad. So I'm even more happy about my outcome!

Personally I think this photograph is 'boring'. I do appreciate though, that white is hard colour to expose and I think your exposure is spot on here, great work, and you didnt over do it with the shadows either.. well done

some shadows work well for objects like these. good exposure and colour. I would have perhaps tried on a light gray background so that they stand out better than on pure white

This is a nice capture.
The shape of the candle holders is really set off by your use of shadow and light. Having the brown candles brings more of an Earth tone to what would otherwise feel like a sterile image.
Beautiful work.

Nice shapes. I would've liked to see white candles though, for some reason. Maybe 'cause it's all so pure and white already. I think the shapes would stand out more instead of the dark candles. But that might be personal preferences. Lighting is nice and I like the angle

Those are very modern looking candles. Great light considering all you had was the sun. Nice work

What makes it interesting to look at is how the horizon is twisted.
Sweet .

lovely how with you could get the background and how nicely the candles melt with the background and the candles itself are standing out.
Good work

Very design-ish photograph But there's noise in the dark parts of this photograph, maybe because of your ISO-settings?
