How in the world do you come up with such intricately designed machines? How do you come up with the intricate designs??? O.O

well i spent alot of time around machines as a kid, building and taking things apart. So i have an understanding of how most of them work, their similarity's and differences. The rest is just down to drawing (mileage) and flowing my idols and influences.

Really impressive concept, design, and execution. I love that you gave us not only various poses of the gun in action, and the silhouette of the human for scale purposes, but the extra touch of the 20mm APFSDS round with its magnetic collar completes the set. Other details that impress me includes the optics system, which appears to be mounted on a tracked/sliding rail atop the main assembly.

I wonder if the overall design might have been influenced by the shape/design of a camera "barndoor" tripod head?

thanks alot white hellion

it makes me soo happy to see someone picking up on the little things
alot of times when i paint technical stuff i ask my self "how dose this work" or "will it even work or make sense"

im glad you like the sliding top optics cluster
it was actually a solution to the problem of just having the two large side optics though give a wide angle of veiw like a birds eyes which is great for defensive purposes has a huge blind spot so to engineer my way around that i painted the sliding rail solution alos it's a bonus it can track areal targets by making use of the elevated top encloser

quick thing ive noticed or read somewhere prey or herbivores have developed eyes more to the side of the head for better protection against predators, lions snakes even humans have eyes to the front which are better suited to hunt prey and gauge depth also i think thats why pidgeons move their head so much to judge distances better since side eyes suck at that.

oh and i wasnt aware of the barndoor tripod when i came up with this
i start very sketch and organicaly just weird shapes first then make them make sense lol i get tonnes of inspiration form Metal gear solid.

many thanks
