My goal this weekend (and I have no idea why I set this as a goal) but was to do 100 male figure drawings.I got to 65....and realized that even doing them fast....there was lost time in between sessions and then reviewing what I did etc that was maybe going to make that goal tough to reach this first week in/...it's almost 1:30 am now...and I can only work until 2.
I am glad I shot for that though...considering before I joined deviant ( 5 days back) I wasn't drawing at all...this first week is just about getting into a routine.
which I think I sorta have done....

ah hey thanks...I haven't totally gotten into a routine (yet, I'm only 7 days in) but I am trying....I will be REALLY happy when I make it a month...and then I think I can really start to set this all in motion...next up is female figures and that will be really fun.

I kind of thought of it like this.
an average comic has about 5 o 10 figures on a page....if a book is 22 pages that somewhere around 100-140 figures per book.
drawing one or two people a day and making them perfect isn't enough...I needed to really get used to drawing characters doing a ton of different stuff...and then refine them that way.
at least I hope that works.

well...I needed a plan and I had to break down what the real goal was...my original plan when I first started drawing was just to get "good" but I didn't have any real direction and I think if anything I started heading into more of an illustration direction.
That's not a bad thing but I want to draw comics at least for a little while.
It just looks so fun!

Yeah I know what you mean, I've always wanted to make a manga XD Not sure if I still will since I want to go into animation myself.
If you ever make a comic I'll definately buy it 8D
