I started this one in artrage defining the main tree shape and background and then finished it up in photoshop adding all the details.Related content

By the way, I'm not sure if you are on Tumblr, but this picture has other 1200 notes there (likes and reblogs). Seeing it only has 15 favs here I just felt I should let you know, since it's so beautiful.

Thanks for letting me know ! I actually opened an account in tumblr about two weeks ago because by chance I came across one of my images there and saw thousands of notes as well. So I thought I should look into it. I actually put this image in my tumblr accouny, but has no notes so far. So I am not sure how this works and how you can reach to people. Ill investigate .....

Ahh, I see. Yes, Tumblr is not so easy to understand at first. I'll send you a message and explain.

That looks beautiful. Lets you wonder what kind of forest they are riding through. Is this some kind of a spirit on the branch on the right side, or is it a "happy accident"? It looks like a busty woman with an animal head.
I sometimes use ArtRage for minor parts of my pictures, too, but in general I'm not too fond of it.

Thanks ! It was not intended. I hadnt noticed that one until now. I saw other features that looked like things in some branches, but decided not to do anything specific and left it like this
I use artrage to develop the backgrounds in some of my portraits too. I find is good for that, but it is true that I have not managed to do a full image yet. Its complicated to control, but on the other hand you can get very nice painterly effects. This image,
is the furthest I got in artrage. I only used photoshop to add the knight and effects at the end.

That's a nice one too. And I think I see you probably have the same issues with ArtRage I experience - for tiny, exact details it's just really hard to work with. But it's great for structures and stuff that you want to look like real brush strokes that form "accidental" patterns and details that just happen.
I think the above piece looks impressive considering you did it on the iPad.

Yes, for details, its very hard to use, but this piece made me think about using artrage more often again. So I am playing again with it. Hopefully I can produce something decent again

It definitely has some good uses I can see. I hope to see more of this kind of pictures from you soon, I love those rough structures, thousands of things you can discover.

Thanks ! Yes, I like that as well about artrage. I discovered a paper texture called, I think, swirly. You can play with the scale and a few other things of the paper texture. If you paint using a palete knife and use the normal and wet knife, you get those interesting shapes.

That's good to know, thank you. I'll try to find it to try it out, I only have the pc version though.
I might be mistaken, but I think swirly also lead to the ghost on the branch.
