Actually, the design reminds me of the robot-thing from Future Boy Conan, Akira Toriyama's designs, and the AT-RT from Revenge of the Sith.

yes is similar and almos of the same size of the AT-RT but what did you think of the drawing ? (this is one of the first mecha I've draw !)
