Indeed. That's among the core principals of Renaissance art: anachronism and cultural appropriation.  Rembrandt and Rubens painted all (biblical in particular) characters as Dutch/Flemish (in different stages of approximation).

Usually from Rembrandt's paintings. Most notably from "Samson threatening his father-in-law", "Man in oriental costume", "Jewish bride" and "Polish nobleman".
