Description
Five and a half teams returning this week. Two teams faced each other in heat 3, and two others in heat 5.Battle 1:
Apex - Team Terrafonics - Bar Spinner - Apex has been completely redesigned since it failed to qualify last year
Crushtacean - Team Crushtacean - Gripping Claws - Crushtacean is covered in polyurethane paint, to defend against spinners
Ironside3 - Team Outlaw - Bar Spinner - Ironside3 has two interchangeable bars, one flat and one cutting blade
Pulsar - Team Ranglebots - Drum Spinner - Pulsar has been completely rebuilt for this series, and gained a srimech
Battle 2:
HIGH-5 - Team ACE - Clamping/Lifting Jaws, Spinning Drum - HIGH-5 is based on S.M.I.D.S.Y., currently owned by Team ACE
Frostbite - Team Frostbite - Bar Spinner - Frostbite was built in an afterschool Technology Club, for less than £500
Supernova - Team Supernova - Horizontal Flywheel - Supernova's new disc is a single piece, to prevent the teeth from sheering off this year
Wyrm - Team Memento Mori - Flipping Plate - Unlike Overdozer, this robot is not made of wood
I don't think I can predict this heat. Too many powerful spinners in battle 1. The only prediction I'll make is that Crushtacean, HIGH-5 and Frostbite will go out in the first round.

Crushtacean is a robot wars classic...Unfortunately in Robot Wars, respect for the elders only matters if the robot is capable of standing the test of time, and that didn't happen with Razer or Chompalot.
