Description Since Mentorn are releasing official images from the new show, it felt okay to post this now. Have to say, from what I've seen, the new House Robots look pretty good.

Interesting, but I must wander if that axe can function as a Shrimech. In series 3 onward, shunt started to lose effectiveness against its competitors as it often landed belly-up. Heck, if the team took off the "back" bulldozer blade, it likely would've been able to enter as a competitor robot as Β when this robot was complete, it was only 105kgs - just barely over the Series 5/Extreme 1 competitor weight limit. Shunt desperately needed some form of upgrade to be more effective in the arena.

He was going to be overhauled after Series 7, as he'd become such an easy target for the competitors. Would have been interesting to see what he would have looked like, had the show not been cancelled.

Doesn't seem like the axe would work as a srimech. Whilst the axe is much more powerful, his sides seem to flat to allow him to roll back onto his wheels.

Unless this new 300-kilo version is too heavy for current pneumatics to flip, I think Shunt could still be one of the two easiest targets. Unfortunately there's no clear place on this design to effectively mount a srimech onto it, not even a side-mounted pneumatic ram scrimech seen on the likes of X-Terminator.

Modern flippers will have no problems with 300kg. The producers have said that the House Robots would have to be 2 to 3 tonnes to be safe from modern flippers. Apparently the new Shunt is pretty fast, and his axe takes apparently takes 0.06s to make a full swing. People who saw the filming said that the new axe could lift Shunt of the ground, like would happen to Terrorhurtz if it fired it's axe too quickly. Seems like they've tried to go the route of making it too risky to attack, like how Matilda was attacked a lot less after she got the flywheel.

Did side-mounted srimechs ever help? X-Terminator's never worked, and I don't remember Behemoth's ever doing anything.

I don't like so much the colour, but the design s fitting, just...it's me or this version is slightly littler than the original?

The model or the real one? The model is 9 studs wide, 13 studs long and 7 1/2 studs tall, whereas the model of old Shunt is 6 studs wide, 11 studs long, and 6 1/2 studs tall. The aim was for it to be in scale with the other models. As for the real one, the behind-the-scenes pictures definitely make it look much bigger than the old one. Plus, the new one is almost three times the weight of the old one, despite being made of lighter materials.

Ok, thanks, I just saw a picture of New Shunt and he seemed slightly little than I remembered.

On their Twitter account, they've been linking to behind-the-scenes articles featuring new images. They've shown a screenshot from a battle (apparently the first battle of the series), Shunt in the new arena, and Matilda on display in the Passion Distribution office.
