This obviously isn't the picture that's been previewed in my webcam. But I wanted to finish this first so badly!
Adventure-style Sonic. I used to love the way Yuji Uekawa made the official artwork. An artist's style can change over time, but his changed for the worse. All the newer Sonic artwork (Sonic Advance 3, Rush, and Sonic Channel artwork, for example) don't look nearly as cool as the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 ones, I don't know why. But here's me trying to emulate SA1 style!I never really have time to draw anymore because of school, to explain the boringness of my recent deviations.

Oh I hope to dear God you are kidding, sir. Normally I choose not to reply to ignorant comments, but this is a rather different case because from one look at your profile, you seem to be a decent guy, not the usual prick or dumbass who make up the populous of the internet. Which is why I find myself baffled that a seemingly decent person would so rudely, bluntly, and with a most flawed basis turn around and call me an art thief.
Do you NOT realize that the PURPOSE of this picture was, in fact, to imitate the signature style of the Sonic games' artwork that I admire so much? I drew this from scratch, from my own abilities and memory, no reference, no tracing or any other form of what one might consider cheating. And I cannot even recount how many times I've defended other people's work from true cases of art theft (tracing, recoloring, or blatant stealing), and have had my own work stolen by other people too. Many, many times. That's why I find it to be the highest form of irony that someone come along and call ME an art thief.
Style imitation, especially when it is intended and drawn from scratch from the artist's memory, is not a form of theft. Then there's the fact that I blatantly put it out there what I was trying to achieve with this look. You agree that it looks like the official artwork; good for me, I've achieved my purpose with this picture. You are wrong to label me a thief, and I must say I hope you reconsider branding me with such a label after reading this.
I should apologize for giving you a tl;dr comment, and for going off like this when you could probably care less. Regardless, hope my comment spoke to you in some meaningful form. Good day.

Ok, let me explain myself in a little more detail.
And well done, you looked at my profile - scoring brownie points there.
I see no 'originality' in this, no desire, no passion, I have been around Deviantart for 7 years, two more than you. Yay for me. There is no other artwork detailing a process of drawing, so to me, it looks as if you've just stolen something from the internet or from a website - to me, that's how it looks, I couldn't care less if you 'say' you 'drew it', it's just how it looks to me.
I have a brother who has liked Sonic diligently, and he has created something of uniqueness, not just imitating the Sonic Adventure style.
There is infact a lot of imitating the SA style throughout your gallery, I couldn't actually care less. So.
