Description
I recently got a new long nosed dog skull, and wanted to give a little sneak peek before I have time in the weekend to upload some better pictures during the weekend.Any guesses to what breed this is?

Those bumps could be a sign of a bone cancer, or a huge infection going on there.
I guess an Italian greyhound?

I had no idea about that, Thank you for telling me.
It does make since, since my akita skull have the same bumps and I know that skull came from a very old female with a bad nasal infection, which caused the lost of nasal turbinates on one side of the nose (Poor dog).
Not a Italian greyhound, it is a bigger dog.
Another hint is: This is a very ancient breed.

I'm no good at dog skull ID but I'll just throw in borzoi as my guess

Sadly not a Borzoi, but I'm looking to get one. But this is a sighthound.
I''m not sure why the skull have this texture but most of my other dog skulls, that came from older dogs have the same texture, so maybe it can be an age thing? But I don't know for sure.
The molars also have a few cavities, which i haven't seen in my other dog skulls.

Not a Afghan, but that one is also high on my wish list.
But you're getting closer, this breed is from the same area of the world, and it is a very old breed.

Cancer risk does also go up with age so it's hard to separate those two sometimes, but seems likely
